Darkness at the Lake « Thread Started on Aug 31, 2006, 11:20am »
**A sleek shadowy figure gallops smoothly to the lake, it's hooves beating the ground in dull thuds. When the black horse reached the lake, he snorted and sipped the sweet water. I wonder... he thought telepathically if there are any shifting wraiths in this forest? Borack was very interested in shifting wraiths, for he had heard that they where the most evil of all creatures, and was dying to meet one.**

*Another sleek, shadowy figure emerged and trotted up next to Borack. Her horses' mane blew wildly in the wind as her paws took her to the other horse* Hello! My name is Rosalind! Are you, perhaps, Borack? I have heard of you evilness, it has spread throught our lands! *Nithil waited eagerly for Borack's response*

**Borack whirled about, turning on his haunches and reared. After calming down, he snorts in disgust before telepathically replying.** Why did you scare me like that? **Shaking his head, he adds.** How do you know my name? Those who figured it out are long gone! **He looks warily at Rosalind, his eyes suspicious.**

Rosalind knows many things *Nithil commented slyly. Then, out of the blue, Rosalind the horse disapeared and in her place was a shadowy, misty form* So you want to meet a shifting wraith, eh? You had better be careful, if I hadn't decided to change, you would never have known! I'm Nithil, by the way!

**Borack's dark eyes grew wide.** Hello, Nithil, sorry I behaved so... unsettled... **He utters in her head.** I am Borack, son of Borackill and Brockgirt. What brings you here, Nithil? **The black horse shook his mane and smiled.**

*Nithil grins* Well, things were getting quite boring in Comet Valley, where I came from. So I decided to perhaps do a little 'mischeif'. Nothing big or anything, but just a little fun. Perhaps you would like to join me? *He smiles wickedly, an evil glint in his shadowed eyes*

*Nithil nods with excitement* Perhaps we should travel down to the Druma Woods. There might be some mischeif down there! *Nithil smiles a crooked smile at Borack before morphing back into Rosalind* Whaddaya say to that, Borack?

**Borack flared his nostrils and screamed in excitement as he reared up on his hind feet and pawed midair with his forelegs as if he were fighting an enemy.** Let's go, Nithil! **The massive black horse took off through the woods, his hooves beating the ground at a break-neck speeding gallop. His mane and tail streamed behind him, his dark eyes slightliy tinted with red as he screams again the whistling cry of a horse, his body flying across the forest floor in ground-eating strides.**

**Borack sucked in air loudly, as he galloped across the forest floor, his feet thundering in a four beat pace, thud thud thud thud, thud thud thud thud, thud thud thud, his rythem never slowed. Perspiration gleamed on his quarters, withers, neck and legs. The horse was driven by mad craziness, for he was chaotically sprinting several miles, and unlike a wraith, he was quite mortal. His breath began to tatter, and he coughed harshly, scattering blood. But no, never would he stop. It would be discraceful in front of the wraith!
